Postcards print on our Xerox Versant digital colour press, which handles short-to-medium runs with sharp text and consistent colour across the batch. Standard stocks are 14-pt and 16-pt cardstock, coated one or both sides, in matte or gloss finish. For added shelf appeal, we can apply a gloss or matte UV coating across the full sheet, or a raised spot-UV accent on the logo or headline using our Duplo Spot Coater. Postcards are guillotine-cut to Canada Post-compliant sizes for direct mail campaigns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Canada Post's Personalized Mail rates cover pieces from 5 x 3.5 inches up to 9.5 x 6 inches. Common runs are 4 x 6, 5 x 7, and 6 x 9. We cut to your exact dimensions so the finished piece qualifies for the rate you want.

14-pt is our standard postcard weight, sturdy enough for mailing but easy to write on. 16-pt is noticeably thicker and stiffer, closer to a business card feel, better for high-end campaigns or hand-outs where the card should feel substantial. Both are available coated or uncoated.

We print, cut, and prep the cards ready for mailing. The mailing itself, list processing, addressing, and lodging with Canada Post, is arranged on your end or through a mail house.

Full-sheet gloss UV can resist ink from ballpoint pens and inkjet addressing systems. If the card is being addressed after printing, we leave the address panel uncoated or use a matte UV that accepts ink normally. Tell us how the card gets addressed and we'll spec the coating.

Yes. The Xerox Versant handles variable-data printing straight from a CSV or Excel list, so each postcard can carry a unique name, offer code, or QR link. Common uses are personalized offers, appointment reminders, and split-tested direct mail.
