Brochures print on our Xerox Versant digital colour press, which handles short-to-medium runs on coated text stocks like 80-lb and 100-lb gloss, matte, or silk. After printing, sheets pass through our Duplo folder for tri-fold, bi-fold, gate-fold, or z-fold finishing in a single pass, keeping registration tight so panels line up with the artwork. Heavier covers can be scored before folding to avoid cracking on coated stocks. Full-bleed printing and edge-to-edge colour are standard on every brochure.

How much does brochure printing cost in Montreal?

Brochure printing at CDM Print starts at $115 for 50 letter-size tri-fold brochures on 100 lb gloss text, or $2.30 each. At 1,000 copies the price drops to 40 cents per brochure.

What is the difference between a brochure and a flyer?

A brochure is folded into panels that organize longer content, while a flyer is a flat single sheet built for one message. If you need a quick handout, flyer printing is the faster and cheaper option; brochures suit menus, catalogues and service guides.

How fast can brochures be printed and folded?

Most brochure orders are printed and machine-folded in 3 to 5 business days. Half fold, roll fold (tri-fold) and Z fold all run in-line on our folder; our guide to brochure folds shows the panel widths and how to set up your file for each.

Frequently Asked Questions

We fold tri-fold (the roll fold option at checkout), bi-fold (half fold), z-fold, gate fold, and double-parallel folds in-house on our Duplo folder. Custom fold sequences are possible on request. Let us know the fold style at quote time so we set panel widths correctly.

For text-weight brochures we recommend 80-lb or 100-lb gloss, matte, or silk coated stock. For a heavier feel, 100-lb or 120-lb cover works but should be scored before folding to prevent cracking on the fold line. Uncoated stocks are available for a softer, writeable finish.

The most common brochure size is 8.5x11 letter folded to 3.67x8.5 for a tri-fold, or 5.5x8.5 for a bi-fold. We also print 8.5x14 legal tri-folds, 11x17 folded to 8.5x11, and custom sizes up to 13x19 flat.

Yes. On a tri-fold, the inside fold-in panel is about 1/16 inch narrower than the outer panels so it tucks flat. Keep important text and images at least 1/4 inch from fold lines and trim edges. We can send a folding template on request.

Yes, gloss or matte (soft-touch) lamination is available on our Matrix laminator. Lamination adds thickness and stiffness, so it suits menus, spec sheets, and reference brochures better than mailers that need to feel light in the hand.
